Engine Test Systems

Engines and their components require testing over a wide variety of conditions, ensuring that the final manufactured product consistently meets customer’s demands for performance and durability.

 

MEA Engine Test Systems were developed as an answer for the high complexity of engine systems. Using its patented acceleration dynamometer capabilities with traditional testing capabilities, the MEA ESDr gives you a decisive advantage over the competition.

 

MEA’s solutions provide engine test solutions for different engine sizes, ranging from very small to heavy duty (power range: 80 kW – 2000 kW).

 

MEA ESDr systems are used for steady state, transient and dynamic combustion engine/applications testing. The dynamic test system includes transient testing, with mechanical and dynamic torque testing such as friction and torque ripple. The system includes also the “Road Load Simulation” capability that simulates the road (including uphill and downhill gradient). The MEA ESDr with its variable frequency drive, test stand, and controller can be used for nearly every application in the field of engine development and function test.

 

 

  

 

 

All MEA ESDr systems are supplied as turnkey systems on mounted plate, pre-tested and pre-assembled at MEA’s plant for fast and reliable installation, which will be performed by the MEA engineers at the customer’s plant. The systems software and hardware is built in a modular way, giving a simple option for future upgrades to meets new requirements.
